The MacLaren Group Solution
To support BJ’s Wholesale Club in their transition to the new Glory Cash Recyclers, The MacLaren Group developed a thorough and tailored training program that included:
Dedicated Project Lead
Our dedicated project manager was assigned to manage the 215-store transformation. They had direct line of sight and communication with the trainers and BJ’s representatives. This included pre-calls, checklists, store reports, and follow-up calls with each store.
Custom Training Materials
We developed training materials tailored to BJ’s Wholesale Club’s policies, procedures, and standards. These resources included job aids, leader guides, coach guides, and role-specific exercises, all designed for use in training sessions.
On-Site Training
We conducted three days of on-site training for store managers and employees with cash recycling experts. The training emphasized hands-on experience with the new Glory systems, covering functionality, procedures, balancing, maintenance, and troubleshooting to prepare staff for real-life situations.
Train-the-Trainer
We invested heavily in our trainers, immersing them in The MacLaren Group’s approach to change management, procedures, best practices, and the BJ’s Wholesale Club culture, ensuring a consistent, high-quality learning experience.
Web-Based Training
We developed custom Web-Based Training (WBT) courses, mandatory for all BJ’s Wholesale Club staff. These courses provided users with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new Cash Automation and Cash Management features. Designed in modular segments, the courses made information manageable and easy to retain. Additionally, simulation exercises mirrored real-life store scenarios, offering hands-on experience and boosting trainees' confidence.
