McDonald's Canada

CHALLENGE

McDonald’s needed to launch a new Point of Sale system (POS) across Canada.

BUSINESS NEED

They required 14 trainers ready in 2 weeks. We needed to mobilize with heavy immersion and cross-training to ensure knowledge of business processes and culture.

SOLUTION

Each location received 3 days of on-site support. This included: database set-up, training, and Go-Live day support.

RESULT

We successfully rolled out new POS to 1,300 McDonald’s restaurants, including bilingual training at 400 Quebec sites.

BJ’s Wholesale Club

CHALLENGE

BJ’s understands the advantages of cash recycling and selected Glory Global Solutions as the hardware of choice for their retail stores. They required all stores to implement the new cash machines before their Fiscal Year End.

BUSINESS NEED

They required 215 stores to be rolled out in 6 weeks. Significant change management requirements and business process updates. Register attendees, managers and back office bookkeepers all required training on the new machine. 

SOLUTION - TRAINER PREPARATION

Preparing the trainers included: Web Based Training, Webinars, creation of Leader's Guide, ‘Train the Trainer’ Workshop conduction and outlining of an effective Change Management strategy.

SOLUTION - ON-SITE

 The BJ’s implentation was a huge success. Together, we rolled out the entire 215 store chain in 6 weeks by installing and training 40 stores per week on Glory’s Cash Automation System, with 3 days of on-site Go-Live training across all locations.

SOLUTION - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project Management was a large part of the successful rollout. 215 stores in 6 weeks might seem like a daunting task, but with the proper preparation and attention to detail throughout the project things tend to go smoothly. Our dedicated project manager stayed with the client throughout and had direct line of sight and communication with the trainers and the client. This included pre-calls, checklists, store reports, and follow-up calls with each store. 

RESULTS

The BJ’s rollout was a huge success with all stores utilizing Glory's Cash Automation solution within 6 weeks.
